Minister for Justice (New South Wales)

The New South Wales Minister for Justice and Police is the elected officer of the government in the Australian state of New South Wales that is commissioned with responsibility for the administration of justice. The position supports the Attorney General and is typically, although not always, held concurrently with that office.
The current Minister for Justice and Police is Troy Grant, who is also the Deputy Premier of New South Wales. He is assisted in the administration of the portfolio by the Minister for Corrections and Minister for Veterans Affairs, currently David Elliott. Both have held these ministerial responsibilities since 2 April 2015.
Together they administers their portfolio through the New South Wales Department of Justice and have responsibilities for Juvenile Justice, Prisons and Corrective Services. Grant also serves as Minister for Racing and administers the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing.
